Through use of VR and Sense8 products, Facit have produced a product that will allow an architectural designer to
render his 2D DXF file into a 3D visualisation. This will take the 2D AutoCAD design and autoloft the drawings and automatically set the textures on to the buildings and roads etc. This program will set the fences and garden areas for the designer and allow them to see what their design looks like in 3 dimensions. Facit have worked with several clients using visualisation to enhance and improve the design process, allowing rapid
prototyping and simulation of new construction products, giving the client the ability to modify and change the prototype in a very early but critical stage of the design process.
Visualisation allows collaboration input from multiple sources resulting in time and
cost reductions.
Facit have developed a number of tools to simplify the process of taking traditional 2D drawings into a 3D world. The 3D visualisation gives the opportunity to bring together several teams to visualise and improve projects from
the construction contractor through to the end customer.
