WorldUp applies the concepts of real-time and interactivity from application concept to completion. Users see the effects of changing design parameters in real-time; the effects of modifying object behaviors or properties (such as movement or translation) can be seen while your simulation is running. This allows users to substantially reduce development costs and
time-to-market.
Powerful and Complete
WorldUp provides a highly object-oriented environment designed to speed application development. An
extendable object hierarchy contains predefined properties and methods that can be accessed via the development interface or through the Visual
Basic style scripting language. The WorldUp development environment also includes a script debugger and a performance profiler to optimize performance, as well as a complete suite of tools including an integrated modeler, content delivery mechanisms and Internet support.
The fully integrated World Up Modeler renders objects exactly as they are designed to appear in the simulation. Real-time geometric modeling features include seamless editing and extrusion of geometry, presentation of multiple views, merging of co-planar polygons and the ability to render both sides of the polygon.
WorldUp offers several content delivery options for commercial use including stand alone players, Plug-in players and ActiveX players. The addition of the WorldUp Player also provides
non commercial users a stand alone delivery option to freely distribute content to a large audience. World Up's ActiveX control builds on Microsoft's latest technology, allowing users to embed real-time 3D applications into PowerPoint and most OLE aware applications, such as Internet Explorer and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Optimized CAD Deployment Technology
Developers can bring their CAD files into WorldToolKit or WorldUp and efficiently produce 3D interactive and virtual reality applications for training, simulation and product-design visualization at unprecedented speeds. This revolutionary solution will allow large CAD files to be fully optimized for real-time; enabling the rapid development of highly structured interactive immersive applications with an unprecedented level of realism.
Flexible and Open
WorldUp supports industry standards including OpenGL, D and Visual Basic syntax to provide users with immediate productivity and optimal flexibility. WorldUp also supports
VRML, 3DS, DXF and FLT file formats, and a variety of operating systems, to allow for cross-platform portability without the need to recompile.
Support for the Internet
Available for both OpenGL and Direct3D, the WorldUp Player has Plug-in capabilities for Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer. WorldUp's Plug-in allows for distribution and viewing of 3D content over the Internet. VRML files can also be downloaded for incorporation into WorldUp
applications.
